WHY SERVE
WITH
HaAguda
LeHitnadvut
For decades, HaAguda LeHitnadvut has been one of the leading organizations in National Service - known for its personal approach, deep experience, and strong sense of community.
Volunteers share everyday life with other English-speaking young women - living together and becoming part of a wider circle that includes social activities and local host families.
We believe a meaningful year is shaped not only by where you serve, but by who you share it with.

QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT BE ASKING YOURSELF
No. You’ll be part of a small group of young women going through the same experience. You’ll live together, serve together, and have people around you you can turn to. Staff, coordinators, and mentors will be there throughout the year.
No. National Service is a voluntary, civilian framework with no military obligation. The service itself is entirely civilian and focused on supporting communities, without military training or enlistment.
It still offers structure and responsibility, and you are doing something that actually matters day to day. In terms of benefits, National Service and military service are similar. Under the Law of Discharged Soldiers, National Service graduates are eligible for a government grant and deposit, just like IDF veterans.
Safety always comes first. The program operates responsibly, with close monitoring of the situation and ongoing guidance. You are never left to handle things alone.
That’s okay, and it is more common than you might think. Many participants ask this before arriving, and for most of them it is one of their biggest questions.
You don’t need to have everything figured out to start the process. We are here to help you explore options and find the place that fits you best. There is no need to decide about making Aliyah in advance. You can arrive with our support on an appropriate visa and make decisions during or after the year.
Starting the conversation or leaving your details is completely non-binding.
We do. Visas, paperwork, housing, and army exemption (Ptor) are all handled with you and for you, so you can focus on the year itself and on growing into it.
